Learning Objectives

Students will develop balance, coordination, and teamwork skills through a fun and interactive Bingo-style game using Balance It cards and the Balance Flip game tool.

Materials Needed

Balance It cards Printed Bingo cards with pose names (or digital if applicable via bingobaker.com) Balance Flip game (used by teacher to call out balances) Markers or pens for marking cards Music (optional for energy and engagement)

Instructions

Lesson Procedure: Distribute Bingo cards (with pose names) to students individually or in pairs. (Use bingobaker.com to get digital cards) The teacher uses the Balance Flip game as a random balance selector — acting as the Bingo “caller.” As each balance is flipped, students must attempt the pose and mark it off if they can successfully complete it. The first student or pair to complete a row, column, or full card wins. Multiple winners can be announced for variety. Continue playing as desired — optionally reset the board and play multiple rounds. Lead students through a cool-down session (5 min) with basic stretches (e.g., hamstrings, shoulders, core). Facilitate a brief reflection: What were their favorite poses? What was most challenging? What helped them succeed?

Assessment

Observe student participation and engagement during the Bingo game. Provide real-time feedback on balance technique. Assess how well students follow instructions and apply physical literacy concepts during gameplay and reflection.

Extension Activities

Create themed Bingo cards (e.g., strength-focused, partner-focused) Allow students to act as the caller using Balance Flip Add challenge rounds (e.g., hold the pose for 10+ seconds before marking)
