Learning Objectives
Students will develop balance, coordination, and teamwork skills through engaging, movement-based activities using Balance It cards and interactive games
Materials Needed
Balance It cards (digital or printed)
Station markers (cones or signs)
Timer or stopwatch
Music (optional)
Instructions
Lesson Procedure:
Set up balance task stations around the activity area — one pose per station.
Divide the class into small groups and assign each group to a station.
Explain that each group will spend a set time (e.g., 3–4 minutes) at each station practicing the pose before rotating.
Start the timer and begin the circuit — rotate students through all stations.
Encourage peer support, technique refinement, and engagement at each station.
Optional: Play energizing music throughout the circuit to keep motivation high.
After the circuit, lead a cool-down (5 minutes) with gentle stretches for used muscle groups.
Facilitate a group reflection discussion (5 minutes) on what poses felt most effective, what was challenging, and how circuit training contributes to fitness goals.
Assessment
Observe each group’s engagement and balance execution at stations. Offer real-time coaching cues. Assess teamwork and individual technique
Extension Activities
Let students design their own station circuit
Incorporate fitness tasks between balance stations (e.g., 10 jumping jacks → next balance)
Add challenge elements (e.g., hold pose for longer, try advanced pose tiers)
